ed barker.
Ed is a writer, broadcaster and musician.
Very few people have worked for George Michael and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, advised UK Cabinet Ministers whilst sitting in an LA recording studio or launched a political campaign minutes before appearing on stage holding a saxophone...
Ed Barker has been at the heart of the campaigns that have shaped the UK over the last few years, including Boris Johnson's journey to becoming Prime Minister and the 2019 General Election. But Ed also is one of the UK's most renowned saxophonists, appearing all over the country performing, producing and directing shows in front of tens of thousands of people.
Ed was George Michael's saxophone soloist on his last ever live tour and a song from Ed's debut album, Simple Truth, rocketed to #1 on the U.S. Independent Mainstream Network, as well as #1 on the U.S. Indie Adult Contemporary Chart.
Entirely self-taught, but with an extensive training in Britain's National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and National Youth Orchestra (NYO), Ed has produced and arranged for BBC Strictly Come Dancing star, Anton Du Beke, vocalist, Lance Ellington, X-Factor contestant, Anton Stephens. He is also endorsed by Yamaha and is the founder of Ed Sax School, which teaches students from all over the world.
Ed runs a groundbreaking public relations firm, The SW1 Group, using his extensive network of Westminster, media and Whitehall contacts to advise top political figures, CEOs, TV personalities, entertainment artists, start-ups, sports figures, philanthropists and advocacy groups.
